Additional NZFM managed forests are seeking certification

NZ Forest Managers is currently undertaking work to incorporate two additional forests into our third party certification forest management certificate. These forests are Matahina F - located in the Bay of Plenty, and Te Waihou Estate. Te Waihou Estate comprises a number of individual forest blocks located around Tokoroa in the Central North Island.

Third Party certification provides assurance that the forests are managed according to a set of environmental, social and economic standards. The forest will be independently inspected and evaluated according to these standards and how they are applied to forest management.
